Late night chats with Mel.

I meant to go to bed at a reasonable hour. I swear I did. In fact, at 11:45 I was getting ready to go to bed, but then I did a quick email check and wouldn't you know it, Melanie was online! Melanie usually goes to bed around 9:30, so that was amazing. Of course I had to talk to her and she was doing the late night chat thing. So I stayed around long enough to have a silly conversation with her. That's what mel and I do. We have silly conversations. What can I say? We find ourselves and each other amusing!! She related to me how a friend of hers on myspace had a picture with himself sitting at a table with a cup of coffee, and in the chair opposite him was a vacuum sitting in a chair. Tha caption read; "A conversation with one of my intimate friends.." or something like that. I got a chuckle out of it anyway. So, right, I was tired. I didn't want to abandon Mel though, and since she just moved away and I can't just drive over any old afternoon to see her, I thought I better take all the opportunities I can!

In any case, I had a cup of tea to boost my alertness, and now I am having a second wind. I completely spaced the Academy Awards last night, which I sort of wanted to watch, minus any political crap spewed by Jon Stewart. So I had to look them up online and find out who won. I am glad for Reese Witherspoon. I totally thought that Felicity Huffman was going to win, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. I am also glad that Crash won best picture. Woot!
Now that I am completely awake, and pathetic, I decided to browse the Joss Whedon site that I frequent, and now I am downloading the video of Hugh Laurie from the Golden Globes. I know I really need to get a life. Actually, I am supposed to go somewhere with a friend in the late morning and I will probably be a little bit sleepy when it comes to that. Oh well. Such is my life. :p This thing is taking forever to download, mostly because my computer has serious issues at the moment, but I love Hugh so I have to watch it. *shrug* That's just me. Maybe in the meantime I should kill some more braincells at Myspace. hehe.
